With Volt Boats watercraft, you do not need to choose between an effective power boat and an efficient, quiet paddleboat. The Volt Boats K1 looks and performs like a conventional paddled craft, with kayak advantages such as low cost, ease of maintenance and transportation, and low environmental impact. It weighs 35 pounds more than a similar unpowered craft. At the touch of a button, the power drive deploys beneath the boat, offering fast, silent, long-distance travel on a single charge – up to 25 miles at 6 MPH. Steering is simple, via joystick or hands-free foot control, and offers exceptional maneuverability. Push the button again, and the drive retracts back into the hull, allowing the vessel to be paddled or carried and put on top of a car or truck, like any kayak.

Volt Boats’ kayaks are unique because they are versatile, low-cost, green, and exceptionally well-designed. Features include the Power Pod; a seamlessly integrated propulsion system; an advanced Intelligent Controller with high resolution display; and a Smart Battery System that automatically accepts several different Smart Battery types, allowing you to choose an optimal price and weight for your needs.

Because the patented Volt Boats Power Pod and Smart Battery System can be applied to many different small boat hull forms, Volt Boats will be able to offer other boating experiences, such as a tandem kayak or canoe, using the same underlying technology.
